La Carinderia Manila is a charming Italian restaurant nestled in the heart of Makati. With its intimate setting, this dining spot has garnered attention for its authentic dishes that stay true to traditional Italian principles. Notably, their carbonara, though praised for being made without cream, borders on saltiness, which has raised some eyebrows among diners like Mitch Manalo and Sophia Lee. In contrast, the burrata salad stands out as a highlight; patrons rave about its freshness and the delightful blend of flavors, making it a must-try.

For dessert lovers, the tiramisu is a star attraction, receiving raving reviews from Joey Amodia and Lee Evonne. Its rich texture and robust coffee flavor make it a decadent finish to any meal, despite some opinions suggesting a more balanced recipe could enhance the experience. Service at La Carinderia is typically praised for being attentive, although some guests have reported hiccups with reservations and feedback handling.

Overall, La Carinderia Manila promises a cozy culinary experience with delectable dishes worth revisiting. Just be prepared for a small space and a limited menu, as noted by visitors. The passion and care in their offerings resonate in every bite, making it a delightful choice for both locals and tourists alike.

La Carinderia Manila is widely praised for its authentic Italian offerings, particularly its burrata and tiramisu, which receive consistent acclaim for quality and presentation. The restaurant is noted for its efficient and accommodating staff, enhancing the overall dining experience. However, some guests find the carbonara to be on the saltier and richer side, differing from the typical creamier versions many expect. The intimate and cozy space, while charming, can feel small and somewhat limited in seating, which may affect group visits. Additionally, the menu tends to be limited, but this focus contributes to the meticulous preparation of featured dishes. Overall, La Carinderia Manila is regarded as a standout spot for Italian desserts and authentic flavors in a warm, inviting setting.

The food was really good— the carbonara was made without cream (the authentic, traditional way), but it was a little bit salty to me. Nevertheless, still good! The stars of the show were the burrata and tiramisu, which were very meticulously made and plated. The kitchen staff whom we observed because we were seated at the bar table were extremely efficient, too. Overall, I’m giving it four stars. Mainly because the service didn’t reply for our reservation, and also they didn’t deal with the feedback well when we pointed it out (nicely), making excuses for the lack of attention.

Best pasta and tiramisu I’ve had here in Manila. Everything we ordered tasted so heavenly. I was so happy eating each bite. Amazing service with their accommodating chef and staff. Will definitely go back here to try out everything and recommend to my family and friends.

I only had the tiramisu, and by far theirs is one of the best I've had. The space is a bit small, which is why they couldn't accommodate us for dinner so we ended up coming back just for the dessert. It was worth it though. But that's something to have in mind if you're planning go there, especially with friends. Their menu is a quite limited (at the time of my visit) so manage your expectations.

Second time here, and once again I was blown away by their tiramisu — it’s really amazing! Definitely ask for the special menu when you come, you’ll find some surprise flavors. As for the carbonara, it was very heavy on the cheese and felt a bit too rich for me. Personally, I prefer a creamier, milk-based flavor, so I wouldn’t really recommend this dish.

Made a reservation the night before for the next day at 11 AM and they were able to accommodate us. Street parking available across as well. The space is relatively small, the tables and chairs aren’t so stable. With regards to the food — we ordered the carbonara, burrata, and tiramisu because these were all the best sellers. The carbonara was on the richer and saltier side. While you can tell it’s authentic and handmade, wouldn’t recommend to someone who’s watching their cholesterol and sodium intake. The burrata salad was to die for!!!!! This made the whole dining experience worth it. The burrata was really fresh, tomatoes were sweet, and the balsamic was thick. The sourdough that came along with it was good too. The tiramisu was just okay. It has a really strong coffee kick & the mascarpone was on the thicker side.

I found this shop because a Tiktoker recommended this as the best tiramisu they tried, and they weren’t lying when they said that it was. It was light, creamy, and had balance between the bitter and sweet components. I also ordered their iced latte with sugar syrup requested on the side and it actually tasted great. The bitterness was just right. I spoke to the owner of the restaurant, and he was kind and asked me how the food was. Staff was also accommodating, and their ambiance was definitely relaxing.
